Once you visit the Krypt and unlock the Brutality, you'll be able to use it in the game. If the Brutality is not unlocked, refer to it in our guide, taking note of the location in the Krypt. If the Brutality is unlocked, perfect it and enjoy the devastation. Next up, check your in-game Move List for that character, navigating to the Finishing Moves tab and seeing if the Brutality that you want to use is unlocked. To use this guide, first locate the character that you want to learn the Brutality for on this page. Next to the name of the Brutality you will see the area of the Krypt that it can be found, as well as the exact coordinates once you are there. If you're lacking in Koins to spend in the Krypt, be sure to complete the story mode, which will also allow you to unlock a playable Shinnok character. If you're having trouble with one, move on to another and come back to this one later. Some of these conditions are not the easiest to meet.To unlock a specific Brutality in the Krypt, you can use our Krypt guide to help you unlock Fatalities, Brutalities and alternate costumes. If you are unable to perform a Brutality, make sure you have it unlocked in the Finishing Moves tab of the Move List.Moves you need to pull off will be included in the description of each Brutality, but you will have to convert the controls to your specific platform using the Notation Key.If we don't specify the variation that should be used, you can use any of the three that are available.Note: To convert the Notation Key to your platform, open up the move list for the character you're using, or locate your specific button layout in your main menu options. You might also want to take a few moments to familiarize yourself with a few of our character profiles, starting with Jacqui Briggs and then perhaps Ferra / Torr. Each one is different, so prepare for some memory work (or just bookmark this page so we can continue assisting you in the future). Unlike Fatalities, Brutalities cannot be performed unless certain requirements have been met during the match. If you're in the wrong spot, feel free to visit our full fatality list in our Mortal Kombat X guide, then hop back over here when you're ready to move on to brutalities. It should be noted that fatalities and brutalities are not the same thing, but both must be unlocked in the Krypt, story mode, or by executing them in-game before they'll show up in your character's list of moves. It's not as simple as executing an x-ray attack, or even pulling off one of the bone crunching, organ annihilating fatalities, but they are pretty rewarding when players can make them happen. This guide will show you how to pull off brutalities for all characters in Mortal Kombat X and Mortal Kombat XL, including how to set them up during the match.
